Mangaia participates in annual Te Maeva Nui

A group has come from Mangaia to join with Mangaians living on Rarotonga to participate in the annual celebrations of the self-govenment of the Cook Islands. On Sunday night, a group of 43 took part in the choir with a rendering of the hymn "E Managanui Te Akairo E Te Mea Umere." The choir finished 5th in an overall competiton of 13 choirs. Tonight is the night for the Mangaia Kapa Rima or Action Song themes on the Arrival of the Missionaries - "Tae Anga Evangeria i Mangaia."
